The world around us remembers. This may not be obvious to those of us that do not look. We break twigs, move rocks, and trample grass every moment we exist. Our every footstep will be remembered in the ground for a lot longer than our names being spoken.

Memory is what makes a person themselves. It holds their fears and loves and defining moments. If I could describe anything as our soul, it would be our memory.

So upon these realisations, I realised that I see ghosts almost everywhere I go. These ghosts are evidence of conscious experience. History soaks into the world around us and changes the way we walk through it, and I have captured that knowledge in the only way I know how.
